On October 2, 2023, Conrad U. Brunner, Renato Gartner and Romy Pfister-Stierli founded an association in Brugg under the name “Förderverein Jürg Nänni”. They have made the inventory of Jürg Nänni’s work, which has been ongoing since his death, the core of their task.
All acquaintances, friends and colleagues are cordially invited to become members of the association and help to research and publicize the significance of Jürg Nänni’s artistic work.
In the statutes (download original german text here), the purpose of the association is stated in Article 2 as follows:
The purpose of the association is to promote awareness of the artistic work of Jürg Nänni (1942 – 2019) through publications, exhibitions, websites and events. Within the framework of the means available to it, the association considers the publication of a newsletter for the members of the association as well as for interested third parties.
Since then, the three founding members have formed the Board of Directors, which consists of at least three members. Conrad U. Brunner was elected as the first president.
The membership fee in the founding year 2023/24:
– for individual members CHF 100.-
– for collective members CHF 1’000.-
The aim of the association is to promote the further development of Jürg Nänni’s work in Switzerland and abroad. Funding for this important work is being sought from renowned Swiss foundations.
